Music that helps

Not everyone enjoys performing music, however there are physiological benefits to both listening to and performing music. You can also use music, like writing and art, to help you work out what you want to do with the next stage of your life. Music can also help you when things get tough. It is sometimes easier to relax if there is music playing quietly in the background, or some people enjoy hearing sounds of nature.

Since singing is really important to me, I realize the benefits I’ve received may be different for you. I only ask that you look through the ideas, interpret them in the light of your own preferences and tastes, and see whether the exercises might help you.


Relaxation is a great benefit of listening to music, and you can also use music to help you create in another medium. You could also consider performing, and also re-think how to listen to music to change your mood and energy. I promise I am not trying to convert you to become a singer, but do hope that you will be inspired to loosen up your inner diva – and have a wonderful time in the process!
